Job Description
We are now hiring PartTime Personal Attendants to join our Mistywood Project a shared living program based on the Stoney Creek Mountain.

This program operates 7 days a week and candidates needs to be flexible and available for a variety of shifts including days afternoons or nights. This includes every other weekend and statutory holidays.

AbleLiving Services is a nonprofit organization providing personal support services to adults with disabilities living within their own home or one of our independent living facilities. Our clients direct and customize the services they receive and we support them to maximize their independence and enhance their quality of life. We provide services across the Golden Horseshoe in the Mississauga Burlington Stoney Creek and Hamilton communities.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Providing nonmedical personal support services lifeskills support and light housekeeping duties for adults in a vulnerable population group to enable them to remain independent in their own homes.
- This support is provided under the direction of the clients and/or their alternate decision maker and is in accordance with the client services contracts and supervisors directives and within the laws and regulations affecting the provision of these services.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities or seniors health & safety first aid physical and emotional needs of persons is an asset
- Experience providing support for persons with disabilities or seniors on a paid or voluntary basis either in a work setting or through personal life experiences is beneficial.
A personal support worker certificate is not required for this position but it is considered an asset.
