Job Description
Muller Engineering Company is seeking qualified candidates for itsTraffic Engineering/Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Group at the design engineer level. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled individual who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to help deliver Mullers numerous transportation projects throughout Colorado
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with traffic operations and safety projects including traffic signal timing microsimulation modeling multimodal planning and safety studies
- Design and develop signal and marking plans construction traffic control plans and ITS plans (plus other potential trafficrelated design work) for transportation facilities including interstates interchanges urban arterials rural roadways and multimodal facilities
- Assist midlevel and senior engineers in preparation of studies reports and design packages for a wide variety of traffic engineering and ITS projects.
- Perform field observation work when necessary.
- Other Duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements and Desired Traits:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering (or masters degree in traffic/transportation engineering) from an accredited college or university.
- Entry level to three years of experience in transportation engineering design.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Selfmotivated detailoriented professional with strong organizational skills.
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment and creating designs that support our clients overall project goals.
- Knowledge of and experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads AutoCAD Civil 3D or other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering is a plus.
- Knowledge andexperience with Microsoft Office products is a plus.
Licenses/Registrations:
- Engineer Intern (EI) in Colorado or other state
Salary range for this position is $73000/yr $90000/yr dependent on experience
