Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Overseas Counsellor to join our team in Bangalore. This fulltime position is tailored for individuals with 1 to 3 years of experience. The role centers around guiding students through their higher education journey abroad leveraging your knowledge of various education systems and strong communication skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of study abroad programs with insight into different countries offerings and processes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and advice to students and parents.
- Understanding of visa requirements to ensure students are fully prepared for their application processes.
- Cultural sensitivity to appropriately guide diverse student backgrounds.
- Customer service skills to provide excellent support and assistance throughout the students journey.
- Ability to provide guidance on academic programs (Mandatory skill) to help students select the most suitable courses.
- Knowledge of different education systems (Mandatory skill) to give informed advice for various study destinations.
- Ability to build relationships with students (Mandatory skill) ensuring trust and ongoing support throughout the counseling process.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive counseling to students seeking to study abroad covering all aspects from program selection to predeparture preparation.
- Assist students in understanding and meeting admission requirements and preparing visa applications for different countries.
- Develop personalized counseling strategies based on individual student profiles and objectives.
- Coordinate with educational institutions and stay updated with their admission changes and visa policies.
- Organize counseling sessions and informational workshops to guide large groups of prospective students.
- Foster and maintain longterm relationships with students and families for continued support and guidance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to students and their families ensuring all queries and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Stay informed about global education trends to enhance counseling effectiveness and strategic advice offering.
