Job Description
Hourly rate of pay: $15.00
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs routine upkeep of all BCRTA facilities.
2. Cleans and maintains standards for offices and common areas. Duties include but are not limited to vacuuming mopping trash disposal dusting and window cleaning.
3. Coordinates cleaning with the Vehicle & Facility Maintenance Manager or Operations Manager.
4. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
5. Ability to prioritize organize and manage tasks and time effectively; with flexibility and adaptability.
6. Completes facility checklist schedules for cleaning as required.
7. Evaluates and stocks consumable materials.
8. Works with department managers to maintain supply stock.
9. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
10. Follows all BCRTA procedures and policies.
11. Attend training events and meetings as assigned.
12. Acts as a BCRTA ambassador projects a positive attitude and promotes superior customer service.

Physical & Visual Activities:

Physical Abilities include:
1. Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlineoriented office environment and a functioning maintenance facility.
2. Ability to adjust to changes in shift or work schedules.
3. Ability to maintain a stationary position for long periods kneel/bend reach overhead and move throughout the workday.
4. Strong sensory skills include good hearing dexterity feeling and eyesight including color perception and peripheral vision.
5. Ability to occasionally push or transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
6. Requires some exposure to excessive noise fumes/odors some hazardous materials and dirt/dust.
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS:
Occasional exposure to cleaning chemical fumes.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the basic janitorial cleaning duties
2. Ability to follow oral and written directions.
3. Attention to detail ability to memorize and retain.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
5. Fluently read write and speak English.
6. Ability to communicate with BCRTA management.
7. Work calmly and clearly as a team player.
Experience:
Entrylevel janitorial/cleaning experience.
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Drivers License.
Clean motor vehicle record.

BCRTA is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio organized as a Regional Transit Authority under Ohio code. BCRTA acts as the designated recipient for Federal Transit Funds and provides public transportation services within and around Butler County Ohio including Hamilton Middletown Fairfield West Chester Oxford and Miami University. The BCRTA employs or directs around 120 transit employees and manages an annual budget over $7M. BCRTA is governed by a ninemember Board of Trustees.
