KAZAR is seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to join our Commercial Advisory team as Senior Associates and Managers.
As key members of our Commercial Advisory service line you will play a vital role in supporting our public sector clients in all aspects of Commercial and Procurement Management.
Role Overview
- As a member of the Commercial Advisory team you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial and procurement strategies. You will prepare tender documentation lead negotiations and manage day to day contract management activities including but not limited to stakeholder engagement minor procurements and provide commercial and procurement advice on simple to complex matters.
- This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Government initiatives and capabilities within the Defence and National Security space.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial and procurement strategies.
- Provide advice on simple to complex matters as they relate to commercial and/or procurement.
- Support contract negotiations and prepare contract changes.
- Assist with and prepare material relating to procurement planning tendering and contract management activities.
- Draft procurement documentation including but not limited to requests for tender and approach to market.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and division of appropriate mitigations and prepare comprehensive written advice.
- Competently communicate with stakeholders on matters pertaining to sustainment supply and asset management to drive outcomes and foster collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements procurement policies and quality standards throughout the procurement/capability lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5 years experience working as a Commercial Manager or Commercial Officer Contract Manager Procurement Specialist or Procurement Officer.
- Bachelor of Laws and/or Business with relevant experience to this role.
- Demonstrated understanding of government contracting and procurement templates including the ASDEFCON contracting suites.
- Understanding of the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA) and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals within specified timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effect engage with stakeholders at all levels and negotiate with conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a track record of delivering successful outcomes in complex environments.
- Australian citizenship and security clearance (NV1 or higher is required).
