Applicants submitting applications are applying for a nontenure parttime position but with significant input in course design. This appointment may be renewed upon satisfactory review and need.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Teach lectures and laboratories for Microbiology course for preNursing students.
Teach pertinent course content using lectures demonstrations class discussion and other appropriate modes of educational delivery that promote educational and learning processes.
Prepare course outline and syllabus develop course and lesson plans and engage in the selection of textbook and other teaching aids necessary to the instruction of courses.
Engage and assist students by providing notes timely grades and feedback via a Learning Management System (LMS).
Supervise and maintain laboratories and equipment.
Supervise lab safety during laboratory sessions preparation and cleanup.
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters or Ph.D. (preferred) degree in Biological Sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Academic coursework in microbiology.
Ability to integrate technology into course delivery.
Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population of students both in and outside the classroom.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Prior college or university laboratory teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of and commitment to the universitys philosophy and mission.
