As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking wealth management youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities
- Lead the planning design and of mainframe modernization projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Assess existing mainframe applications and infrastructure to identify opportunities for modernization.
- Develop and implement strategies for migrating mainframe applications to cloudbased or distributed environments.
- Ensure that modernization efforts align with the organizations overall IT strategy and business goals.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the modernization process.
- Manage project timelines budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and emerging technologies related to mainframe modernization.
- Mentor and train team members to build expertise in modern technologies and practices.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
- Proven experience in mainframe modernization projects including migration to cloud or distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Java React Springboot Microservices React AWS (ECS Lambda RDS
- Secondary skills : Python AWS(Glue terraform Messaging) Modern JS Framework Kubernetes /Docker Kafka
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with experience leading crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect TOGAF) are a plus.
