About the role
As a Residential Care Worker youll offer direct support care and guidance to Young People residing in our homes throughout the Warrnambool. Our focus is on assisting and supporting young individuals who have faced trauma and may present with high and complex needs.
Hourly Rate of 34.46 to 40.05based on SCHADS Award Level 23 dependent on qualification and experience.
This position is about strengthening rapport with our residents by teaching life skills and supporting their social and emotional development. Your day might involve cooking a meal taking them to appointments or sports dropping them off at school enjoying activities like fishing or arts and crafts and relaxing with a movie in the afternoon. Youll also take care of household duties and complete daily case notes.
Its a dynamic position where no two days will be the same we are looking for individuals who are resilient problem solvers and are dedicated in making a difference. The role requires availability to work a 24/7 roster including nights weekends and public holidays.
In this position youll receive support from a House Supervisor who will guide you as well as from a dedicated team of professionals including Case Managers Therapeutic Specialist and Coordinators. The House Supervisor will help you navigate the position providing advice and assistance when needed while the wider team will offer collaborative support and share their expertise to ensure you have the resources required to succeed.
