Position Summary
The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for two 9month tenure track (TT) faculty positions in Applied Neuromechanics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with a 100 appointment in the Department.
Minimum Qualifications
We are seeking individuals with a strong background in biomechanics and/or motor behavior encompassing both research and teaching experience. Candidates must have a minimum of earned PhD in biomechanics movement neuroscience motor behavior or a closely related discipline to enhance interdisciplinary research in the Applied Neuromechanics area. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of a focused independent line of research with the potential to secure external funding to support research activities. We are also seeking candidates with a strong commitment to engaging with other faculty in Kinesiology and the School of Health and Human Sciences to integrate biomechanics and motor behavior principles into interdisciplinary research and teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Individuals with one or more of the following additional qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply: experience in supervising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in scholarly activities; expertise in MRI fMRI and related neuroimaging techniques. We desire that one of the two positions be filled by a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
