What you will be doing! As a Level 3 Software Integration Engineer you will provide expertise in integrating installing configuring upgrading compiling and supporting Commercial OffTheShelf (COTS) and Government OffTheShelf (GOTS) software within a diverse operating system environment. You will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining software integration solutions specifically for HighPerformance Computing (HPC) infrastructure in a Linux environment.
This position involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to integrate various technologies ensuring smooth data flow between different systems and platforms. Additionally you will be expected to troubleshoot software integration issues optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry best practices..
Job Description / Requirements:
Ability to integrate install configure upgrade compile and support Commercial OffTheShelf (COTS) and Government OffTheShelf (GOTS) software.
Generate documentation for the entire full software stack.
Update software for sustainment support.
Provide software product ownership for HighPerformance Computing (HPC) tools.
Possess basic Linux system administration skills and experience with shell scripting.
Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
Have a working knowledge of configuration management (CM) tools web documentation and issue tracking system
Have a working knowledge of CM tools web documentation and issue tracking.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.
Experience using the Linux CLI
Experience developing Bash/Python scripts to automate manual processes
General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute network memory and storage system components
Experience troubleshooting system and software issues across the full software stack
Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible
Experience with CI/CD principles methodologies and tools such as GitLab CI
Experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
Experience with Git Source Control System
Position Desired Skills
Familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA Confluence)
Education and Experience:
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight 8 years of demonstrable experience with integrating installing configuring upgrading compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment. OR
The individual shall have five 5 years of fulltime Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight 8 years of demonstrable experience. OR
An industryrecognized professional certification may substitute for one 1 year of experience.
A Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field may substitute for two 2 years of experience.
Clearance Required:Must possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role
