Job Summary
The Network Engineer I provides foundational technical and administrative support for the universitys enterprise network with a professional emphasis on Layer 1/2 networking technologies within the campus environment. The role also includes exposure to cloudbased routing in platforms such as Azure and AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation monitoring and support of a highavailability network focusing on Layer 1 cabling Layer 2 switching and VLAN configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve networkrelated incidents including working with departments via ServiceNow to document and address issues. Support the configuration management and maintenance of the universitys wired and wireless infrastructure. Provide technical assistance for network projects system upgrades and new installations. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless network operations. Assist in the development and maintenance of network documentation policies and best practices. Other functions as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. At least one 1 year of fulltime experience working in enterpriseclass networks. JNCIA Junos JNCIA Mist AI JNCIA Cloud JNCIA DevOps CCNA etc. certifications. An equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role or any of the qualifications listed above.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Information Technology Networking or a related discipline. Certifications: JNCIS ENT .

Monday Friday; 8:00am 5:00pm With an understanding of the 24/7 nature of IT.
