Purpose:
The Prescription Services Coordinator provides administrative assistance in providing prescription services to patients. Duties include but are not limited to tracking prescriptions and interfacing with insurance companies regarding prescription claims and prior authorizations. Possible hybrid position.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions (other duties as assigned):
Experience Qualifications/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; twoyear degree preferred
CA Board of Pharmacy Tech license preferred
One to two years related work experience or training
Knowledge of computer/telephony support preferably in a health care environment
Strong customer service background preferably in health care environment
Excellent verbal communication skills Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Competency with computer processing functions and other standard office equipment
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills
