What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Body Shop Processes: Oversee and enhance body shop processes and logistics areas to ensure a seamless material flow and efficient production operations. This includes developing and optimizing these areas to support fastmoving body shop needs and timely deliveries.
  • Single and Welding Parts: Coordinate the planning and management of single and welding parts within the body shop area.
  • Empties Management and Repacking: Handle the management of empties repacking and line supply to maintain efficient operations.
  • Manual Material Management: Plan the use of manual material handling equipment (e.g. tugger trains forklifts). Ensure these strategies align with body shop schedules to support efficient material movement and ontime delivery
  • Automated Material Handling: Implement and manage Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems and select appropriate inhouse logistics equipment to automate material transport. Integrate these automated solutions with existing workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce reliance on manual handling.
  • MES Software: Utilize MES (Manufacturing System) software to monitor and manage production processes ensuring realtime tracking and resource optimization.
  • Route Traffic Management: Develop and manage strategies for effective route traffic within the production facility utilizing route traffic management tools/software to plan track and optimize material flow while developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions or changes in route traffic.
  • AEKO Management: Utilize AEKO Management processes to drive improvements in operational efficiency and resource allocation. Steer and evaluate AEKO requests to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and costeffectiveness.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with safety environmental and quality standards throughout the body shop process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and compliance across all processes.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia South Carolina.
  • The responsibilities of this role require 34 daysattendance in office with inperson meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in body shop or body shop within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of single and welding parts material handling (manual and automated) repacking processes line supply management compliance requirements MES software and AEKO.
  • Experience with manual material handling equipment (forklifts tuggers) and automated systems (AGVs).
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g. MES software ERP systems CAD software).

Pay Transparency

This is a fulltime exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $90000.00 $110000.00
