PURPOSE
We are seeking a Housekeeper whose responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning designated areas assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor by performing the following duties: vacuuming carpet areas including resident rooms hallways and common areas; mopping and cleaning tile areas including resident rooms and common areas; emptying trash in their designated area; and cleaning bathrooms including tub shower and toilet areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Custodial 60
Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned building and rooms.
Performs the following duties: vacuuming carpet areas including resident rooms hallways and common areas; mopping and cleaning tile areas including resident rooms and common areas; emptying trash in their designated area; and cleaning bathrooms including tub shower and toilet areas.Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
Restocking custodial supplies.
Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with students fellow employees and others.
Operate a TAMUCC vehicle and/or golf cart to navigate to and from worksites.
Support 30
Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment.
Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests.
Other 10
Performs other related duties as requested and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED
Ability to communicate with clear written and verbal messages
Ability to present a professional image
Knowledge of safety equipment usage (e.g. AED fire extinguishers etc. proper cleaning methods and safety measures essential to the work environment
Ability to work outdoors in temperature extremes work with high noise levels and must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
TAMUCC Housing maintains a drugfree workplace.
Maintain a valid Driver License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred
Previous housekeeping experience in residence life or college housing
SALARY: $13.50/hourly $28080/annually approximately)
