Company Background:
Alta Forest Products is the worlds largest producer of wood fence boards specializing in Western Red Cedar and other premium species found in the Pacific and Inland Northwest forests. In addition to producing fence boards and pallet stock lumber Altas zerowoodwaste sawmills produce byproducts such as wood chips sawdust mulch and biofuel.
Headquartered in centrally located Chehalis Washington Alta operates fence board sawmills in four other rural communities: Morton WA; Shelton WA; Amanda Park WA; and Naples ID.
The Role:
The Retail Sales Support Specialist position at Alta Forest Products will be responsible for closely collaborating with Altas internal teams as well as Big Box Retailers to support Altas retail sales department. This position will oversee the daily and weekly extensive box retail reporting closely follow market trends track inventories and develop logistics strategies for current programs. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly detailoriented with strong communication organizational and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily reporting of operations with Big Box retailers.
- Establish maintain and optimize operational processes to ensure superior customer experience and satisfaction.
- Learn and gain proficiency in operating systems including Infor M3 and retailer systems like Vendor Drill Askuity IDM etc.
- Represent Alta Forest Products as a knowledgeable professional and respected brand ambassador embodying the image and values of the organization.
- Plan and communicate inventory movements to ensure 98 fill rates.
- Weekly invoicing responsibilities and inventory balancing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a related area is ideal
- Detailoriented with a strong strategic sales approach and analytical thinking a must
- Ability to be collaborative prioritize and perform multiple activities
- Manage workload and deadlines with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables Charts Macros Vlookup formulas Conditional Formatting etc.
- Proficient Powerpoint skills.

Position Type/Travel/Schedule
This is a fulltime position 40 Hours) and overtime work may be required as projects or job duties demand. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday.
