Our hours countgain valuable teaching experience!Oxford Learning Willowdaleiscurrently seeking parttime teachertutors for roles in our learning centre.If you love working with students enjoy teaching language skills and want to help others build their academic confidence this position is perfect for you.
Position Overview: As a TeacherTutor at Oxford Learning you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading writing math and French and/or withHigh Schoolstudents inmath (through Calculus) physics chemistry biology and English. Our TeacherTutors do not have to worry about lesson planning as all lessons are preplanned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods allowing you to focus on what you do best teaching!
Position Requirements
- Availability during afterschool and evening hours 3:00 pm 8:00 pm)
- Available for a minimum of 2 evenings/week
- Commitmentthrough tothe end of the 2026 school year (June 30th) with thepossibility ofcontinuing through the summer
- Inperson instruction
- Ability to commute to the designated location
- Mandatory vulnerable sector screening
Education:
- Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Thirdyear university students with tutoring experience will be considered
- Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
Experience:
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students understanding
- The ability to teach French is also highly desired
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities:
As an Interactive Coach you will:
- Teach up to 3 students at a time in Elementary or High School grades these student groups will be taught separately
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)

Salary: $18 $23/ hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday evenings: 3:00pm 8:00pm (can be flexible with start time)
- Saturday: 9:00am 1:00pm
