Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees working 30 hours per week starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment:
- Medical: Employer pays $511.76 toward employee coverage. Additional plans for children and family are available at employee cost.

PTO
- Accrual: Start accruing PTO from your first paycheck. Fulltime 40hour) employees with 02 years of employment accrue 4.65 hours per pay period totaling 15 days a year.
- Increased Accrual with Tenure: Accrual rates increase at 3 years 5 years and every subsequent 5year mark up to 25 years.
- Pro Rata Basis: Accrual rates for employees working 2030 hours per week are on a pro rata basis.
Paid Holidays

Starting Wage
- Salary: The starting salary for this position is $28.00$34.00 per hour for LPN licensure; $34.00$40.00/hour for RN licensure DOE.

Schedule
- Standard Hours: Flexible to be discussed at interview. May require one weekend shift.
Training
- Orientation: Alternatives provides thorough orientation and training for all new staff. You can expect a oneweek orientation where you will learn all about Alternatives and be prepared for your role. This first week is scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM at our Alternatives Training Center.

To be a successful Nurse you will need the following skills and qualifications:
- Accredited LPN or RN education and current Montana licensure.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to pass a federal workplace drug screen and background check.
- Ability to relate to offenders; previous corrections experience is a plus.
- Preferred: Mental health experience.

What Will You Do in This Position
As a Nurse for Alternatives you will primarily work at the Passages facility but may also assist with resident needs at Alpha House as required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining reviewing and storing accurate medical files and records including obtaining medical records from other institutions as needed.
- Upholding strict HIPAA and agency policy requirements to ensure the privacy of our residents.
- Following up with residents who have suffered accidents or injuries.
- Managing special diets and related issues in cooperation with food services.
- Assisting offenders in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes.
- Providing first aid as needed.
- Completing all requirements for the Department of Corrections including preparing medical transfer sheets and ensuring transfer medications for residents moving to another facility.
This role requires great confidentiality care and coordination with other Agency departments.
