Job Description

Are you detailoriented eager to learn and ready to grow in your accounting career As a Junior Accountant youll be part of our incredible corporate accounting team playing a key role in keeping ASECs financial operations running smoothly
Your responsibilities as our Junior Accountant will include:
- Recording financial transactions accurately in Deltek Costpoint.
- Supporting accounts payable accounts receivable cash management and other key financial areas.
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations with precision.
- Assisting with monthend and yearend closing processes.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- Identifying and addressing data discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
- Maintaining clear professional and responsive communications with other departments and with accounting and finance departments.
- Supporting audit requests and compiling information from various regulatory oversight or partner agencies and companies.
- Collaborating with internal teams to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
- Preparing and recording monthly and yearly journal entries.

Education and Experience:
- An associates degree in accounting finance or a related area of study is required. Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related preferred.
- At least one year of formal work or internship experience in the accounting field desired.
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint or an alternative financial management system preferred.
- Youre proficient in Excel whether its creating new workbooks maintaining existing ones or using formulas and youre also confident navigating the rest of the MS Office suite including Word Outlook and Teams.

- You are able to adhere to deadlines for financial reporting and other accounting tasks.
- You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- You possess professional and effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- You take a proactive approach to your work and youre able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
- You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Your organizational skills allow you to manage competing priorities.

Salary Range:
- The estimated salary range for this position will be $50000 $70000 annually based on an individuals level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
