Position Summary
The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management ISSCM in the Bryan School of Business at the University of North Carolina Greensboro UNCG invites applications expressions of interest and nominations for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Information Systems . The position will commence on August 1 2025. We expect the selected candidate to be able to teach both core and elective courses in information systems and business analytics or cybersecurity at the undergraduate and graduate levels ensuring that there is an appropriate level of technical content. Additionally elective courses are likely to be in areas such as business analytics cyber security generative AI database management networking and telecommunication. As per AACSB accreditation standards there is an expectation that the candidates research is tied to her or his teaching area and one or more key elements of our mission (problemsolving innovation globalization sustainability diversity economic impact and ethics) while also participating in department initiatives and handson projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Doctorate from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited school with a specialization in Information Systems OR Information Science and Technology OR another closely related discipline. ABDs who are assured of completion by August 1 2025 may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should show promise of publishing in mainstream toptier Information Systems journals such as found in the FT50 or CABS Academic Journal Guide at the 4 and 4* levels. A minimum of one 1 year of teaching experience in IT and business analytics as well as evidence of successful highquality refereed journal scholarship will be considered positively.
