About the Role:
The Civil Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients subcontractors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans specifications and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
- Identify all project costs including materials labor equipment and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine budgets and schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and tender documents ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Monitor industry trends costs and construction methods to provide accurate and informed estimates.
What Brings You to the Table:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials methods and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams.
