Job Description
- Perform all cleaning tasks inside and outside school buildings including sweeping using vacuum cleaner mopping scrubbing stripping buffing sealing and waxing floors and dusting
- Moving and arranging furniture equipment draperies and storage equipment
- Removing wastepaper and other materials and emptying waste receptacles inside and outside of the building
- Replacing light bulbs
- Perform routine maintenance on lavatory equipment including unstopping plugged fixtures
- Removing ice and snow from school grounds and roof decks salting and sanding
- Locking and unlocking facility and securing facility when leaving the building vacant including setting alarms
- Unloading and storing supplies and equipment
- Picking up and delivering supplies
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Occasional minor electrical work carpentry plumbing and painting
- Performing security functions as needed
- Driving forklift on intermittent basis
- Driving school vehicles as needed
- Such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Facilities or Night Shift Supervisor
