Job Description
Location: Cape Town South Africa
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical Mechanical or Renewable Energy
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in renewable energy projects specifically in solar energy
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the local regulatory environment and permitting processes related to renewable energy projects
- Experience in conducting feasibility studies and financial modeling for renewable energy projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of solar energy projects from concept to completion including site selection permitting design financing and construction
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial analysis to assess the viability of projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including landowners regulatory agencies financial institutions and contractors
- Prepare and submit project proposals budgets and schedules
- Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Oversee construction and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations
- Monitor and report on project progress including coordinating with internal and external partners
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies in renewable energy to inform project development decisions
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new projects and partnerships.
