Job Description

Primary Purpose
The Intramural Basketball Certified Referee is responsible to officiate the Intramural basketball games that occur at the COCC Mazama Gymnasium.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Know and uphold all Intramural basketball league rules during competition. Follow established procedure along with onsite supervisor in the event of a sports injury. Model sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct towards players and spectators. Model non discriminatory practices in all games/competition. Assist in training the student referees during games and during breaks of game action. Perform other administrative duties as assigned that supports the overall objective of the position.

Minimum Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Must possess some knowledge of the rules regulations strategies and techniques of the sport. Basketball Officiating Certification from an established Officials Association.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Experience in higher education environment.
