S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in We are looking for a talented CNC Operator for the Weekend Shift and has a passion for innovation and in their field of expertise enjoys working as part of a team and are committed to helping us become a leader in our industry.
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Work Location: 90 Belfield road Etobicoke M9W 1G4
Shift: Weekend Shift (Friday Sunday 6am 6pm)
As a CNC Operator you will
- Set up adjust and operate CNC machines (TC5000 Laser Metal Turning Brake Press Form Brake etc. accordingto work orders and specificationswith minor programming
- Use manual pump trucks cranes (overhead / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)
- Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards target plans and verify correct run quantities
- Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required
- Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machines operating time
- Filling out production boards with output for the shift as well as assisting in planning afternoon shift production
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices
Who are we looking for Someone who has
- Is currently enrolled in a postsecondary institution (diploma or degree program)
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers micrometers go nogo gauges etc.
- Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced work environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 22 lbs.
