Job Description
TheEnterprise Design & Research team is responsible for deepening customer engagement through our digital experiences across app web and push channels. The team is a group of talented passionate multidisciplinary members based in New York Phoenix and London. Our mission is to increase digital engagement customer satisfaction and revenue through a combination of a superior user experience and compelling features. Researchers at Amex help to elevate understanding of our users across UX product and engineering and play a critical role in building the worlds best user experience.
How will you make an impact in this role
As a Senior Associate UX Researcher youll lead research projects or specific research activities for the team at large and facilitate research efforts with our vendor partners across product journeys and domains. You will have the opportunity to work handson with a variety of data collection and sense making methods and to present findings to a variety of audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate research activities handling specific activities on larger projects coordinating studies with our vendor partners and handling studies from start to finish with guidance as needed from a more senior member of the team
- Work with designers and product managers to establish research objectives and align on the approach
- Execute evaluative studies using a variety of methods and triangulate data from across multiple sources
- Contribute to the creation of research artifacts that bring user needs and insights to life
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align research objectives with broader business goals and decisions
- Initiate the creation of new templates and toolkits that aid researchers in their work
- Build expertise in the endtoend research process and diligently maintain compliance with data privacy and tooling standards
Qualifications
- You have at least 2 years of handson experience in research proficiency in using research tools like dscout and User Testing and you can demonstrate your understanding of fundamental UX research theories principles and concepts.
- You are comfortable moderating sessions with participants and you enjoy finding ways to make unmoderated tests truly effective.
- You are a proactive energetic communicator who takes pride in producing high quality written artifacts and communications (e.g. research reports Slack messages emails). You have a clear and engaging verbal presentation style that you are eager to put to use.
