About The Opportunity
The Senior Manager of Acquisition and Retention Analytics role is part of Grubhubs Growth team. This person will lead a team of analysts to drive insights to inform the strategic direction of the Growth teams Paid and Owned channel marketing investments influence the prioritization of product investments support ongoing tracking towards departmentwide goals and support test design and evaluation of marketing initiatives for new and existing customers. To achieve these objectives you will also be responsible for elevating the teams analytical capabilities and infrastructure by driving further connectivity with business outcomes automation and behavioral analysis. Overseeing analytics across the entire consumer portfolio you will have the opportunity to influence decisions impacting a significant portion of Grubhubs business.
The ideal candidate will have not only strong quantitative qualifications but also an ability to combine datadriven insights with conceptual thinking and a constant businessoutcomes orientation. This role will require influence and collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups at varying levels of the organization up to the executive levels. As such exceptional communication and ability to synthesize analysis into clear and compelling narratives is a must. The ideal candidate should also have a proven ability to operate successfully in a fastpaced and entrepreneurial environment. You will need to be able to establish a wellinformed long term agenda drive structured problem solving while also remaining agile and resilient to new opportunities.
The Impact You Will Make
Drive consumer and business insights to develop strategies for delivering growth and profitability across the entire consumer portfolio
Lead and develop a team of analysts cultivating and retaining talent
Define the roadmap for Acquisition and Retention Analytics to evolve and deepen the understanding of customer needs and behaviors
Partner with Performance Marketing Loyalty CRM Product and Finance teams amongst others to identify growth opportunities develop shared agendas and drive meaningful inmarket results
Apply sound datadriven business judgment weighing multiple factors to determine and influence prioritization of marketing pricing and product investments across Grubhub
Deliver regular executivelevel reporting to continuously assess portfolio performance highlight opportunities understand competition and influence senior leaders
Facilitate teamlevel goal definition and tracking to meet the organizations KPIs
Innovate and continuously advance the Growth teams analytic capabilities and infrastructure to drive actionable consumer insights through reinvention of reporting and monitoring automation standardization and democratization of data
Elevate organizationwide decisionmaking utilizing not only quantitative dimensions but also by pairing it with strong conceptual problem solving effectively synthesized into impactful outcomesoriented insights
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelors degree required in STEM or other quantitative field (e.g. Engineering Business Finance Statistics Math Science etc.
6 years of experience in an analytics role
3 years of leadership experience and managing teams
Proven track record of using analytics to drive business and organizational change
Exceptional capacity to bridge quantitative and conceptual factors to drive balanced business decisionmaking
Exhibited ability to direct and synthesize complex analysis and data into easily understandable compelling and actionable insights
Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively influence various functional groups and up to executive levels
Effective even when working in unstructured or uncertain environments; ability to create structure and develop long term agendas to direct own team or influence others
Strong project management / prioritization and influence capabilities
Deep experience with test and learn methodologies
Proficiency with data analysis visualization and automation tools (e.g. SQL Python Tableau etc.

The base salary range for this position is below:
New York: $141000 $211000
Illinois: $128000$192000
Grubhub uses geographicspecific salary structures which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors such as the candidates skills education training credentials and experience.
