Job Description

Viwinco has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team!

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process optimization efficiency improvements and product quality enhancements within our production environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting SQDC improvement initiatives Lean Manufacturing principles and strategic process advancements to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in a handson manufacturing environment collaborates effectively across teams and applies datadriven problemsolving to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency reduce waste and enhance product quality.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Assist in the selection installation and validation of new manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
  • Apply root cause analysis and corrective action strategies to resolve production issues.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) work instructions and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety quality and regulatory standards in all manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with production quality maintenance and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Validate processes through experimentation simulation and mockups.
  • Collect and analyze production data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
  • Support the manufacturing launch of new or revised products including documentation training and tooling/equipment acquisition.
  • Assist with machinery layout and equipment design to improve production efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies and document findings to support process enhancements.
  • Participate in safety quality and process improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
  • Engage in Kaizen events and process improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency safety and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to support overall operational goals.
  • Create and present visualizations and process data for realtime shop floor insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing or related field).
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering process improvement or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes flow layout and production equipment.
  • Handson experience with Lean Manufacturing Kaizen and Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks) manufacturing software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a handson approach to process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

History Founded in 1982 Viwinco is a familyowned and operated window and door manufacturer based out of Morgantown Pennsylvania. We specialize in custommade vinyl windows patio doors and associated products for new construction and replacement applications in both residential and commercial markets. Our president engineers customer service and sales staff have decades of experience and are dedicated to meeting the needs of your next project no matter how big or how small.

Controlling the Source Almost all Viwinco products are produced entirely at our manufacturing facility in Morgantown Pennsylvania.Over the years weve brought a number of processes such as tempering laminating and product development inhouse allowing us to control the source. Controlling the source has enhanced our ability to oversee the quality of every product we produce to ensure the products you receive exceed Viwinco standards.

Since we control the source we control the quality of every window and door that leaves our facility. Viwinco operates dedicated tempering and laminating departments inhouse using some of the industrys most technologically advanced equipment.

While harnessing energy from the sun our solar farm of over 7800 solar panels supplies us with 40 of the annual energy we spend to fuel our manufacturing facility.
