S&C Machinists Skillsbridge Training Program

2week training Program

Training Location: Chicago

Prerequisites for Training

This a program for enlisted military personnel. Trainee must be current Service Member with CNC Machinist experiences.

S&C Electric Co. US Fabrication is committed to the manufacturing and ontime delivery of these piece parts to the assembly operations with a very experienced staff of machinists who can operate a variety of work centers able to fabricate sheet steel turn bar stock and machine raw castings into complex parts. In this job you will work in a production environment continuously tending a machine. After an initial training period productivity and quality requirements must be met. Durations of setups and run times will vary. Tasks require a moderate degree of eyehand coordination manual dexterity and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.

S&CElectric Co.haslaunched a Training Program for CNC Machinists to upskill in the following areas for machinists:

  • CNCMilling(Setup&Operations)24Hrs.max
  • CNCTurning(Setup&Operations)18Hrs.max

S&C DOD Skillsbridge Criteria

  • Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember
  • Must be transitioning to workforce in 180 months or less
  • Must be able to complete a minimum of 2 weeks of on the job training

Job Title: Upon completion of the CNC Milling and CNC Turning courses this SkillBridge training program will prepare the Service member to be hired as a CNC Machinist.

Cost of Program:

There is no cost to service person. Reimbursement provided for room and board.

Length of Training:

CNC Milling will be 24 hours and CNC Turning will be 18 hours of class/handson instruction or 2week training program meeting three times a week for six to eight hours per session.

All training will be completed in the Chicagoland area
