Job Description
Responsibility & Authority
- Opex manager provides leadership and guidance on manufacturing improvement quality and cost efficiency initiatives using Lean Six Sigma tools and approaches.
- Actively seek new opportunities for improvements.
- Generate reporting on opex initiatives.
- Act as local point contact for global opex leadership.
- Train influence and inspire commitment from departments to implement relevant tools and practices.
- Work in partnership with colleagues to standardize processes and metrics across the organization with specific focus on manufacturing quality and supply chain.
- Publish and approve tools and documentation for areas of responsibility
- Prepare training schedules for departments individuals
- Influence and work through crossfunctional teams without administrative authority and drive a safety culture that is world class by increasing employee engagement accountability and efficient training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelors and/or masters degreeinEngineering Sciences Manufacturing Business Finance Accounting Business or Economics.
- 5 years minimum in dedicated opex role in a manufacturing environment.
- 10 years increasing responsibilities in opex and/or manufacturing quality supply chain cost accounting program management or relevant field.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Absolute integrity strong communication teamwork analysis judgment and open collaborative style of interactio
Preferred Qualifications
- Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- High volume injection molding and/or automated assembly experience
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in a medical device manufacturing environment
- APICS PMP Six Sigma Black Belt certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit/walk for minimum of 8 hours per day. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work weekends and/or alternate shifts as required. Must be able to travel from time to time including overnight as required.
