Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Lead UI Engineer to join the development of a new IP.
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative exhilarating and expansively entertaining!
As a foundational member of the UI team youll be driving UI technology and realization of our brand new narrative openworld game and IP.
Youll help us by
Taking the ownership of the UI system driving its implementation to deliver a bestinclass AAA experience for our players.
Supporting gameplay designers in achieving an interesting and thematically appropriate realization of UI of the game.
Anticipating identifying and addressing potentials both for improving our game experience workflows or scalability across all parts of production.
Having a clear idea of how our product should function and the ability to share this vision with your peers and other stakeholders.
Mentoring and collaborating with fellow team members of the team.
Youre awesome because you have
7 years of professional game engineering experience.
Fully implemented and maintained UI systems in a shipped AAA title.
Demonstrated ability to manage your own work and to meet deadlines.
Experience with writing fast easytouse UI systems that interface with existing gameplay systems.
Strong knowledge of C/C programming including advanced topics such as multithreading atomics optimizations and similar.
Knowledge of 3D math.
Thorough understanding of common data structures and algorithmic solutions.
The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.
Creativity in problem solving and a positive respectful teamfirst attitude.
Comfort with selfcritique and accepting outside feedback.
A habit of regularly playing and understanding modern video games
Bonus points for
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and to coordinate work with other domains.
Experience with scaling UI to work on different devices and screen sizes
Experience with diegetic UI and tradeoffs compared to more traditional UI approaches.
Experience with 1st person vs 3rd UI considerations.
Understanding challenges of developing a multiplayer game.
Expertise in any of popular UI middleware/libraries: CoherentUI Scaleform NoesisGUI UMG.
Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles.
