Title: Lecturer (Administration of Justice)

Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year$1911 per credit hour commensurate with education and experience
Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for future semesters Academic Year/Spring/Fall; temporary parttime work contingent upon student enrollment position availability and funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day evening weekend and/or via distance learning as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teach assigned courses in Administration of Justice.
  2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Juris Doctorate degree or Masters degree in Criminal Justice Criminology or related social science field.
  2. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
  3. Teaching or work experience in the area of criminal justice.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Criminology or related social science field or ABD status for Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Criminology or related social science field.
  2. Demonstrated excellence in universitylevel online and facetoface instruction.
  3. Demonstrated excellence teaching Administration of Justice courses including Intro to Admin of Justice Criminal Justice Criminal Law and Procedure Policing and Punishment Crime and Society Research Methodology and Global Crime.
