Position Overview
Our company is currently seeking a highly analytical and qualified estimator to join our expanding metal finishing business. Your primary objective will be to develop cost estimates for plating jobs utilizing standard costs for labor materials and equipment based on job specifications provided by our customers for any job within our companys scope of business operations.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in mathematics and geometry with indepth knowledge of research and data analysis methods as well as estimation systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator candidates should also be detailoriented with outstanding organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact for customers as specified by management providing timely and accurate responses
Identify labor material costs and time requirements by researching proposals blueprints and any related documents
Work crossfunctionally with Production and Quality to determine the most costeffective procedures to meet customer requirements
Produce estimates for customers and respond to questions including negotiations when applicable
Grow professional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
Communicate with clients to resolve any issues or complaints.
Collaborate with other internal departments to optimize processes
Requirements and skills:
Minimum of two years of proven experience as an estimator
Experience in the metal finishing industry preferred
Good understanding of blueprints and specification reading
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems preferred
Excellent problemsolving abilities
Good organizational and timemanagement skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work well and communicate clearly with management and coworkers
High school diploma GED or suitable equivalent
This is a safetysensitive position as defined in Minnesota Section 181.950 subdivision 13. Candidates must pass a preemployment drug test.

Work Environment
Company and jobspecific training will be provided as needed throughout employment
Office setting in manufacturing/distribution facility environment.
Exposure to plant and warehouse environment including heat humidity dust fumes gases chemicals airborne particles and loud noise
Exposure to moving equipment throughout the factory or warehouse
Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company
