Job Description
Production Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to production areas ensuring the achievement of OEE objectives and production KPIs
- Initiate and coordinate improvement actions across various departments to enhance production efficiency
- Analyse production processes and implement strategies to optimise performance and reduce waste
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet required standards and specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality
- Participate in new product development projects providing manufacturing input and feasibility assessments
- Monitor and report on key production metrics presenting findings to management
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to recommend innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives fostering a culture of efficiency and quality
Qualifications :
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and administrative tasks
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in production engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments
- Experience with process analysis and optimization techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams
- Lean Manufacturing: Basic knowledge of Lean elements such as: 5S Continuous Improvement Kaizen Kanban PointofUse.
- Warehousing Pokayoke Process Mapping SMED etc.
- Thorough understanding of engineering drawing and CAD principles.
