REPORTS TO: Toronto Juniors Program Manager
PROGRAM: Toronto Summer Juniors Program
DURATION OF PROGRAM: 6 weeks June 29 2025 to August 10 2025
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery of the activities component of the ILSC Toronto Summer Juniors Programs ensuring that the activities and field trips are engaging wellorganized and inclusive and that the welfare safety and discipline of the students are paramount. This includes overall responsibility for the planning logistics and successful delivery of all Toronto Juniors Program offcampus field trips. The role requires an experienced leader capable of managing a team of 10 staff members.
This is a key management position and is a combination of an administrative and supervisory role. This is a fulltime fixedterm position. Due to the nature of the work your hours may vary and may be irregular.
The schedule timeline and hourly requirements are as follows:
Full time hours onsite at the ILSC Toronto campus will begin on June 29 2025 and last until August 10 2025
Preprogram staff training at ILSC Toronto will take place from June 23 2025 to June 27 2025.
Your weekly work schedule will consist of six consecutive days of work followed by one full day off per week
Remuneration is $937.50/week 37.5 hours)
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Setup and Closure
In collaboration with the Toronto Juniors Program Manager and the Groups Activity Coordinator participate in the interviewing and hiring of the activity leaders for the Juniors Summer Program in Toronto
Participate in leading the activity meetings at the preprogram staff training and daily during the program to review the previous days activities and go over the activities for the following day
Assist in setting up the Juniors Program in advance of students arrival including unpacking distribution and storage of program materials
Ensure sufficient Juniors Program signage is displayed appropriately
Assist in the full inventory of Juniors program materials such as Tshirts for students and staff bus transit cards SIM cards if required lanyardsetc.
Assist the Juniors Program Manager in the induction of students and group leaders into the program
Social and Activities Program
Coordinate and support the activity leaders by coaching and motivating them and leading by example
Monitor the social and activities program and adapt as appropriate in consultation with the Juniors Program Manager
Advise Juniors Program staff of all activities supervision arrangements and excursions and assign staff to activities ensuring staffing ratios are always maintained.
Promote and build enthusiasm for programmed activities
Assist in scheduling and confirming all activity bookings for the ILSC Toronto Juniors Program including obtaining quotes creating/updating reservations and managing the budgeting and invoicing of these bookings
Monitor expenditures on the Social and Activity Program providing full receipts and detailed records of expenditures and ensuring that all expenses are approved by the Toronto Juniors Program Manager
Student Supervision and Support
In collaboration with the Juniors Program Manager assist in coordinating weekly airport pickups/dropoffs
Ensure the attendance of all students throughout the social and activities program
Take responsibility for the health safety welfare and discipline of the students during activities being prepared to immediately manage any incidents of discrimination bullying or property damage
Take responsibility for the supervision of leisure activities ensuring health and safety measures are respected

Essential
Strong organizational and communication skills
Desirable
Appropriate leisure qualification e.g. Sports Management or Event Planning
Advanced CPR / First Aid / Lifeguard certification
Instructor experience e.g. sports drama dance arts and crafts etc.
