Position Summary The role of an Electrical Engineering intern is to create electrical design drawings of Electrical and Instrumentation systems for Assembly capture redlines for the LM6000 power & controls and be involved in other project activities. Key deliverables will be various drawings (i.e. schematics interconnects assemblies etc.. Internship Duration: June 2025August 2025 Position Responsibilities - Assist in the design of electrical systems by creating schematic diagrams interconnects selecting components and developing layouts.
- Prepare technical documentation including electrical drawings BOMs (Bill of Materials) and design specifications.
- Perform project management tasks such as scheduling tracking progress and coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
- Requirements
- Work with the Electrical engineers to capture redlines and create wiring and assembly drawings.
- Check drawings parts lists and cable schedules for accuracy and thoroughness and notify the Design Engineer or Engineering Manager of any nonconformance within the engineering system.
- Attend design reviews as required.
Required Qualifications - Sophomore or higher with at least one year of coursework enrolled in Electrical Engineering with an interest in Power Generation and Controls Wiring.
- Must read write and speak fluent English.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a workauthorized visa.
- Successful candidates will need to satisfactorily complete preemployment drug screen and background check.
Desired Qualifications - Completed basic electrical engineering coursework (Circuits I and Circuits II).
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics logic drawings and technical manuals.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite programs.
- Some use of AutoCAD.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a logical and effective manner.
