Job Description Summary
In support of the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes the Argyros Forum Student Union provides programs resources and services to cultivate students connection to the Chapman community knowledge of oncampus involvement opportunities investment in school spirit and pride and understanding of the diversity within the Chapman student community. Along with professional staff and in collaboration with other team members the Video and Content Creator is responsible for conceptualizing producing and editing video content and other forms of digital media for the Dean of Students Digital Wall on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
Promotes a positive image of Chapman University student life by creation of professional video content Work alongside various department staff to develop and complete video content for the digital wall Attend various programs as needed to film event Film dynamic Broll content as evergreen content Maintain an accurate and updated work log Save all files to student share folder with the proper file structure Act as experts in all steps of the video editing process Assist Student Engagement in upholding all University policies Assist in Department of Student Engagement departmentwide events Assist in other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in video production sound design linear editing and basic graphics Prior experience and/or completed courses in film Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills Ability to experience initiative and work independently Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to use standard office equipment including computer copier telephones Minimum of a 2.5 GPA
