Job Description
Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP seeks a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience ideally including commercial and healthcare litigation to join our Cincinnati office.
The individual hired for this position will support our healthcare litigation practice but will also gain exposure to our wider commercial litigation matters. The successful applicant will be responsible for handling many aspects of litigation and arbitration including preparing pleadings assisting with complex ediscovery drafting dispositive motions conducting research drafting memoranda and correspondence attending hearings preparing for depositions and assisting with trial preparations and trial/final arbitration hearings.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Must be admitted to practice in Ohio or prepared to immediately gain admission in Ohio.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
- Experience working on sophisticated civil litigations in the state and federal courts and/or in arbitrations or other alternative dispute resolution.
- Ideally experience navigating complex health care regulatory environments including laws impacting reimbursement under government health care programs a plus.
- Ideally experience representing managed care organizations and/or handling payorprovider disputes a plus.
- Superior research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent legal writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
