Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

  • This role will lead the development of features components and electrical systems for OffRoad Vehicles including gathering/capturing stakeholder inputs/goals functional decomposition modeling & simulation electrical controls designs and more
  • This role will interface to the collaborating teams to drive controller and component development verification & validation strategy and testing and more

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive feature development for OffRoad features and support development of PolarisWide features
  • Drive balance between platforming and modularity to allow flexibility and continued future evolution with minimal incremental effort and time
  • Collaborate with Architect to perform trades on function performance and architecture decision
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to effectively deliver what is needed
  • Continuous improvement of feature development process and tools
  • Presentations to various levels of Polaris leadership

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (REQUIRED):

  • B.S. or higher in Electrical Computer or similar Engineering field
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Requirements generation and management
  • System Engineering mindset
  • Process oriented mindset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced development environment required
  • Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to put yourself in a technical sales mindset as you interact crossfunctionally and crossorganization
  • Selfdriven and comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Experience in effective problem solving

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE (PREFERRED):

  • Experience with control system development required with preferred experience in powersports automotive or agriculture fields
  • Experience with DFMEA SFMEA Hazard Analysis and Functional Safety
  • Experience with vehicle communication networks; CAN (J1939 and UDS
  • Experience with hardware and/or software design
  • M.S. or higher in Electrical Computer Mechanical or similar Engineering field

The pay range for Minnesota is $90000 to $119000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography.

To qualify for this position former employees must be eligible for rehire and current employees must be in good standing.
