What will your essential responsibilities include
- Ensure that all Canada product lines have market leading technical pricing and portfolio management capabilities coordinating with relevant LOB and Product actuarial support.
- Primary contact for Canadian Underwriting management (Large Commercial and Middle Market) including portfolio reporting and strategy discussions
- Provide decision making guidance throughout the entire underwriting process through the use of advanced analytics to drive an excellent business performance
- Develop and leverage product pricing methodologies (aligned to global strategies and methodologies) including pricing algorithms pricing parameters pricing change impact analysis and advanced pricing techniques for Canada Casualtymodel supported business. Support development testing and calibration of Pricing tools alongside Models team.
- Micro portfolio management activities including selection of base loss ratio for business planning profitability studies & deep dives dashboard maintenance and postevent loss evaluations
- Conduct deals specific pricing collateral requirements captive/scheme/program pricing and risk transfer testing as needed.
- Engage closely with CUO Underwriting Reserving Claims to improve pricing accuracy
- Ensure compliance with Pricing Model Standards maintain required technical pricing documentation and enforce pricing model governance
- Support reinsurance purchasing with data and analysis. Provide guidance on net calculations for planning limits reporting reserving etc.
