Position Description: The Department of Dermatology seeks a highlyskilled board certified or board eligible dermatologist for the community practice. The Department has enjoyed steady sustained growth over the past several years. Because of this the successful applicant will encounter frequent opportunities for personal and professional development and be able to select responsibilities that energize their passions. Department responsibilities are primarily clinical practice with opportunities in teaching community outreach and administration as interested. Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications. Department members provide clinical care in general dermatology pediatric and adolescent dermatology and other outpatient specialty clinics at Froedtert Hospital Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin and Zablocki VA Medical Center. Many Department members hold leadership positions at the Medical College and Froedtert Hospital. The Department is proud of its record of educating residents and medical students. The Dermatology department currently includes 21 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers who represent all subspecialties. Department members have strong interactions with the Clinical & Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin and Childrens Research Institute. Medical College of Wisconsin The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is the states only private medical school and health sciences graduate school. MCW consists of a School of Medicine with campuses in Milwaukee Green Bay and central Wisconsin a School of Graduate Studies and a Pharmacy School. MCW is a major national research center ranking in the top third of U.S. medical schools in NIH funding and is the second largest research institution in Wisconsin. The core of everything we do at the MCW is academic medicine which brings together scientists clinicians students and community members to solve challenges in health and society. Milwaukee the largest city in Wisconsin is located on Lake Michigans western shore. Milwaukees many neighborhoods have incredible charm accommodating a variety of lifestyles from highrise apartments to small farms. Nestled along a magnificent bluff overlooking Lake Michigan Milwaukees downtown is home to botanical gardens museums a theater district the world champion Milwaukee Bucks the Milwaukee Brewers and many fine restaurants. The lake and its harbors are skirted by scenic parklands and provide firstclass opportunities for recreation including hiking cycling boating and more.
