You will be greeted by our trained receptionist and work alongside our Registered Veterinary Technicians that will assist in caring for pets throughout appointments. We offer a wide range of services including internal medicine surgery dentistry the existence of nutritional and behavioural services.
About The Role:
Our ideal Client Care Reception / Veterinary Assistant builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. This involves greeting and checkingin clients in a friendly and warm manner; receiving incoming calls from current and prospective clients utilizing a courteous and caring approach. This person will appropriately screen calls book appointments take detailed messages as well as provide knowledgeable nonmedical information to clients. Responsibilities also include performing a variety of administrative office tasks including mail (receiving sorting distributing posting) drafting memos and other correspondence completing reports and other adhoc document requests. Our ideal candidate will also take on some veterinary assistant tasks that include. Counselling and educating clients under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications home care vaccination requirements and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet handle and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure.
