Are youpassionate about creating a safer more supportive community SARC (The Sexual/Spouse Abuse Resource Center) is seeking dedicated individuals to joinus in our mission to be Harford Countys lifeline for victims and survivors ofdomestic violence sexual violence child abuse and stalking.

About theRole:
As a Part Time Counselor 810 hours per week of inperson counseling) you willconduct individual and group counseling sessions. During evening hours youwill hold openoffice hours to provide crisis support for clients currentlyresiding in our confidential Safehouse. At least once per week you willconduct a group session for Safehouse clients and/or existing community counselingclients.
Schedule:
This is a parttime role totaling 810 hours per week.Flexibility in the schedule offered with some evening hours required to meetclient needs in the residential setting.
Salary:
$30 to $50 per hour depending on experience.
Requirements
NecessarySkills:
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Knowledge and adherence to laws procedures and ethical standards of the counseling profession.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to understand and apply relevant therapy concepts.
Requirementsfor Consideration:
- LMSW candidates will be provided with group supervision opportunity. LCSWC or LCPC preferred.
PreferredExperience:
- Experience in teletherapy.
- Experience working with both children and adult populations.
