POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will work as part of the installation team during commercial audiovisual projects to include physically delivering and unboxing equipment installing and terminating cabling and wire mounting hardware and making final equipment hookups acting as the pointofcontact between Lee Hartman & Sons and the client and providing basic system training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Audio Visual Installation Technician Helpers will report to this position onsite for the duration of a project assignment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare install and set up audiovisual equipment
- Install and terminate cabling and wire
- Communicate and coordinate with customers and other employees
- Read and follow system wiring diagrams
- Follow and maintain safety practices
- All duties of Audio Visual Installation Technician Helpers as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient using hand tools and electronic test equipment
- Read and follow wiring diagrams and equipment documentation
- Organization and communication
- Work well in a team
- Be selfdirected and motivated
- Basic computer skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record to operate company vehicle
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year of experience in construction or telecommunications
- First Aid CPR Training or acquire within first 90 days
- OSHA 10 Certification or acquire within first 90 days
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Walking remaining stationary climbing and navigating tight spaces
- Regularly lift and move 50 pounds overhead
- Working at elevated heights
ENVIRONMENT:
Commercial education state local and federal government buildings and properties and houses of worship including nonconditioned indoor and outdoor environments.
TRAVEL AND HOURS:
Travel and hours of work will vary depending on client needs but will typically include Monday through Friday with a yearly average of 50 overnight travel expected. Overtime may be needed at times.
