The Department of Marketing is a dynamic hub of academic excellence and innovation comprising 19 fulltime faculty members who serve over 400 undergraduate marketing majors and an active Master of Science in Marketing program. The department has a vibrant research culture with faculty earning internal and external grants presenting at leading conferences and publishing in high quality publications including the Journal of Marketing Journal of Consumer Research Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science Journal of Business Research and Journal of Retailing. It also fosters a rigorous and collaborative learning environment featuring a stateofart neuroscience consumer research lab with an active subject pool as well as a studentrun advertising agency providing handson experience and stimulating creativity among students as they apply their knowledge to tackle realworld challenges.We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in both research and teaching as well asengagement with students colleagues and business or professional communities.
Position Overview:
This faculty positioninvolves responsibilities in researchteaching and service. The teaching load isfive courses (or 23 per academic yearwitha onecoursereductionduringthefirstyear and fewer preps for junior faculty. Faculty are expected to engage in studentadvising and mentoring maintain astrong research and publicationpipeline and actively participatein the life of the department college and university throughcommittee work and other service roles.
