Medical Education & Research Institute (MERI)is a nonprofit organization which supports the advancement of medicine by providing bioskills lab environments essential to medical and surgical training for healthcare professionals.
Our central U.S. location in Memphis TN as well as our mobile support ability allow us to facilitate stateoftheart handson training and educational events for physicians nurses and other medical professionals from across the country and around the world. Our unique ability to coordinate all aspects of medical training is made possible in part by our exclusive partnership with theGenesis Legacy Whole Body Donation Foundation.
In order to better accommodatetraining in the evolving medical industry we are currently expanding our event team. We are seeking individuals interested in an exciting opportunity to work with the MERIssponsor groups to support leading healthcare professionals and innovators on the cutting edge of medical science.
As a scheduler of our sponsored medical course events (Program Specialist) your role is to perform various functions involved with the details of planningthese sponsored events. This includes direct communication and planning with our sponsor groups to ensure that the objectives oftheevents are met. This position will also provide administrativesupport for department management and event coordination teams when needed.
This position reports directly to the Education/Research Planning Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
minimum2 years professional experience and/or training in a related field;event planning and management customer service data processing administrative support
SKILLS:
While performing the functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms talk or hear; Lifting/moving weight requirement occasionally up to 25 lbs. Specific physical abilities required by this job include that of which would enable regular use of computers and related devices and equipment

SCHEDULE
