0.35 FTE Continuing parttime (Okanagan Language) nsyilxcen Language Instructor at Merritt Central Elementary beginning immediately.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Be a fluent speaker of the nsyilxcen Language.
Possess a First Nations Language teacher certificate for nsyilxcen Language or be eligible for this certificate.
Have a good understanding of Syilx culture.
Training and experience working with gradelevel students.
Experience with adapting materials resources assessments and learning outcomes for student needs.
Valid BC Teaching certificate or eligible for Letter of Permission.

A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs.
Experience/training in supporting the socialemotional learning needs of students.
Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students staff and parents.
Committed to working as a member of a school team in support of students.

The starting annual salary for this fulltime teacher position ranges from $60090 $109520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
