Position Information Job Summary Bushnell Universitys Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (CMHC) located in Eugene OR invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach primarily in the Universitys Clinical Mental Health prelicensure program. Candidates will have a strong counselor identity strong commitment to multiculturalism and diversity and vibrant maturing Christian faith. Additionally CACREP membership and expertise teaching along with effective interpersonal and communication skills are desired qualities.
Position Duties & Responsibilities Position duties include but are not limited to: - Commits to creating a learning environment for students inclusive of diverse cultural social economic and educational backgrounds.
- Provides instruction for courses as assigned.
- Supervises student clinical experiences in longterm care acute care community health and/or other settings as assigned.
- Engages with students to provide a meaningful presence in their learning and in their achievement of course outcomes.
- Provides current course content in collaboration with the other faculty that is informative well organized and supports student learning and success.
- Keeps professionally current by participating in professional development and other activities.
- Maintains current credentials or licensures.
- Creates and maintains a positive learning environment that focuses on safety respect of clients and colleagues and effective communication both verbally and in writing utilizing tact patience and courtesy.
- Models professional practices and behaviors for students.
- Complies with all Oregon State Board of Counseling policies and administrative regulations.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Support the missions of Bushnell University and the CMHC program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualification Requirements - Earned graduate degree in Counseling.
- Minimum of two years experience.
- Experience as a Counselor educator and/or possess experience teaching counseling students is preferred.
- Holding a current Oregon LPC or LMFT license or ability to be licensed in Oregon is required.
- Current NCC or NCMHCE
- Knowledge of Oregon LPC licensing standards Oregon law pertaining to clinical mental health counselors and CACREP standards
- Listening skills and the ability to speak and write clearly.
- Ability to utilize Windows based software including Word Excel PowerPoint. Experience utilizing email for the purposes of organizational communications.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
