Salary: As per the agreement between Quaboag Regional School District and the QEAClosing date: Open until filledStart date: August 25 2025Qualifications:Valid Massachusetts License as a Special Education Teacher related field or Special Education Administrator.Minimum of five 5 years of professional experience working with special education students.Strong knowledge and application of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations and laws.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Ability to meet deadlines and respond efficiently within required timelines.Responsibilities:Chair all IEP Team meetings for students in grades 6 through posthigh school.Schedule all IEP meetings in compliance with mandated timelines.Supervise and facilitate the completion of all IEP paperwork within required deadlines.Attend weekly Team Chair meetings with the Director of Student Support Services.Maintain accurate and uptodate special education records.Ensure the timely distribution of IEP paperwork to parents.Oversee the implementation of IEPs and monitor compliance.Supervise and track the completion and distribution of progress reports.Collaborate with the administration regarding student placements.Coordinate with outside agencies to support postsecondary transitions.Assist in the planning and administration of MCAS assessments.Support the assignment of special education paraprofessional schedules in collaboration with Guidance and school administration.Work with the Department Chair of Guidance and the Director to develop student schedules in alignment with IEP requirements.Ensure compliance with all DESErequired indicators.Develop and maintain IEP documents as part of the IEP process.Foster strong working relationships with general education teachers special education teachers paraprofessionals and school and district administrators.Engage with parents to promote and strengthen homeschool connections.Assist the Director in meeting state and federal audit requirements including Tiered Focused Monitoring and the Continuous Improvement Monitoring Plan.Uphold high ethical and professional standards in all responsibilities.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services relevant to the role of Team Chairperson.Quaboag Regional School District ensures equal employment and educational opportunities for its employees and students.
