For more information visit and position works on the IT Communications team with a focus on wireless switching and communications solutions used in our offices production warehouse and manufacturing facilities at an enterprise scale. The role requires providing support to remote sites as well as projectbased deployments discovering new technologies improving existing technologies and keeping our networks and data systems secure. This role will require occasional evenings and weekends to provide support or implement systems during outage windows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect implement and manage enterprise network wireless and switching environment(s) and services used throughout the company in subsidiaries production and warehouse locations.
- Administer and maintain business critical enterprise wireless and switching environment(s) and services used throughout the company in subsidiaries production plants and warehouse locations.
- Provide wireless / switching Level 3 support issue/problem resolution of businesscritical infrastructure environment(s) and services
- Provide project management of medium and large network related projects across the enterprise
QUALIFICATIONS:
Level of position offered (Staff Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer) will be determined based on candidates experience and skill set.
Required
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems Computer Information Systems or a related field or 5 7 years experience engineering deploying and supporting enterprise network communications systems.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and strong troubleshooting experience including wireless and switched networking.
- Advanced technical experience in Wireless and switching architecture and administration.
- Pattern of initiative and technical innovation proven problem solving decision making and project management skills strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational time management skills welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on nights weekends holidays for 3rd level support and/or system upgrades in support of Plant downtime availability windows.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States a lawful permanent resident or have authorization to work in the United States.
- Applicants must not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred
- Technical experience in structured cable design & management
- Technical experience in power management systems
Location:Austin MN
A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin MN area will be offered if required.
At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Staff Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer role is between $76700 $128000 per year and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to jobrelated knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
