We are looking for a Cloud Virtualization Engineer who will be responsible for design deployment and management of server infrastructure platforms hosted on Azure VMware and AWS. The role will focus primarily on the migration of onprem Windows and Unix VMs to Azure as well as alternative onprem hypervisors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering a proven track record of maintaining high availability and performance familiarity with cybersecurity standards and experience in managing systems in a highly critical regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Design build and maintain cloud hosting infrastructure related to IaaS server hosting.
Design build and maintain onprem hypervisor estate.
Develop and execute onprem to cloud VM migration strategies.
Evaluate design and deploy alternate onprem hypervisor platforms (HyperV / Nutanix / Azurestack etc.
Develop and maintain documentation related to configurations processes and service records.
Develop and execute scripts for automation of tasks system management and troubleshooting.
Build Terraform based pipelines for IaaS deployment in Azure and AWS.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Virtualization and Cloud engineering.
Proficiency with continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure ADO Pipelines and Terraform.
Proficiency with multiple onprem hypervisor technologies (VMware HyperV Azurestack Nutanix XenServer
Experience with onprem to cloud migration technologies e.g. Azure Migrate
Working knowledge of networking / firewalls
Experience with Splunk or similar data analysis tools
Knowledge of ITIL practices experience in inventory management familiarity with NIST cybersecurity standards andexperience in managing system licensing.
Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
